Booked the cruise just 2 weeks before as I was due some leave and the fares were cheap. I have cruised on many different cruise lines from RC to Princess, Celebrity, Cunard and Crystal. This would be my 5th RC cruise and I already knew to lower my standards as I had done 2 cruises out of Singapore on Quantum of the Seas in the last 1 year and they were not great. However, this is the worst cruise I have ever been on, low on almost every aspect. RC Platinum status was not recognised. No priority boarding or any other perk and staff acted like they had never heard of frequent cruiser status, in fact, they said they only recognise Sky and Star class priority.
Nickel and diming was rampant.
There were a lot of new, poorly trained staff. Our room steward could not even speak or understand English properly and we had to call Housekeeping several times to ask for things that we had asked him for but he did not seem to understand.
Cabin Review
Ocean View Balcony
Booked a balcony cabin for 3 adults, 3rd bed was a sofa that was so narrow and hard ( yes not a sofabed, but they just take away the cushions and put a pillow and blanket on top of the sofa)
We were given a change to another room where the sofa could pull out to a full bed but room steward did not close the sofabed in the day and that made it very difficult to walk around the room.
