Incredibly disappointed with this cruise (May '22 Miami to Montreal). Way too many issues to pay the kind of premium price that Regent commands and significantly below what they claim is a "luxury cruise experience!!!".
Start with the disaster at embarkation: Arrived as requested to find about 200+ cruisers standing in line in oppressive heat with only two stations processing people. There were no NO REGENT personnel to speed things up or remedy the problem. When they did show up much later they stood off to one side and did nothing to alleviate the issues!! Result--took over two hours to get checked in!!! Everyone was unhappy and said so. Worse yet there was no acknowledgement of the debacle nor an apology by the Captain or his Officers!!!!
The food and beverage offerings have been significantly downgraded especially the wine selections. Breads and pastries were often dry, hard and inedible while desserts were both poor in quality, sparse in selection and repetitive every day. Oftentimes they appeared to have been frozen, thawed and then served. Fruits were often unripe and therefore tasteless. The buffet too often was not replenished in a timely fashion and empty platters were left unnoticed or neglected by staff. Complained to Officer in Charge (Cedric) of dining services who committed to improving the situation but only minimal progress was experienced.
