We chose this cruise because it was an easy drive from the NE and we loved the itinerary. We have sailed with Celebrity many times but felt they missed the mark on this one. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived 15 mins prior to our scheduled time and were able to get right onboard. We had completed the online check-in (which was very easy) and were able to get right into our room. This is where the first issue was discovered. We went into our room (Seapass keys on the door) and dropped off our carry on bags. We were exhausted after getting up early for the drive and decided to take a nap before heading to lunch. When I pulled the covers down on the bed, I discovered someone else’s hair and eye lash extensions on the sheets. There were also a couple of stains. Since they weren’t mine, I called the cabin steward. He argued with me and insisted the sheets were fresh. I asked for them to be changed and the steward said he would come by shortly. When he finally arrived, he asked me to show him what I was talking about. He picked the hair off and stated that sometimes hair gets stuck on them in the wash. Although this may be true, I did not pay thousands to have them on my sheets. After I watched them get changed we went on with our day. We were in an Aqua Class room on the 11th Floor.

The bar/lounge entertainment was quite good. We enjoyed Hey Mama, Kyle, The Time Machine Duo, and the Coastal Bands. The strings were good but we did not like the recorded accompaniment that they used during their performances. The Sunset Bar and Rendezvous Lounge were favorites of ours.

The Food was disappointing. We use to prefer their food over Princess and Holland America. Sadly it fell short this time. We ate in Blu each night, but did not care for many of their food offerings. One of us generally ordered from the Blu menu and the other from Main Dining menu. The food lacked flavor and just seemed to have been sitting in a warming drawer too long, making it dry. The buffet was okay as was the pool bar.
