After initial difficulties over travel arrangements, not Scenic's fault but not well handled, we arrived on board with some anxieties. Delighted to say all concerns were dispelled by a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Staff at every level, (cabin, restaurants, bars, excursion team) went above and beyond to meet guests' desires including a special menu arranged in Koko restaurant after a casual remark to the Exec. Chef about wanting to try Phillipino food - brilliant! Quality of food in all restaurants excellent and we particularly enjoyed Sushi bar with unagi (eel), yellowtail, octopus and scallops stand-out dishes. Dinner in Lumiere, French fine-dining with modern small plate appetisers was superb. Night market restaurant great experience but........ see below*

Cabin (grand deluxe) comfortable and well looked after. Entertainment team (Amy and Pablo) talented and attentive with casual day-time quizzes and evening shows.

We knew in advance that helicopters and submarines could not be used in Artic but the efforts made by the Excursion team to meet guests' hopes were truly commendable. Our wildlife sightings were wonderful - walruses, seals, seabird colonies, reindeer, artic fox, polar bears on 3 separate days, and the most incredible whale and dolphin display around the Eclipse one (light) evening (* unfortunately it interrupted dinner in Night Market at course 5!). Wherever possible Zodiacs were quickly lowered to enable sightings to be as close as possible. Artic plunge for the brave (foolish?) well managed. Read more
