The tour was a gorgeous visual smorgasbord, especially when the sun shone. Sea eagle cruise was a big highlight.

Always been interested in seeing the Norwegian coast, especially in the north. We had both very positive and some negative experiences. The first excursion to North Cape was a disappointment. Slogging along on a long bus ride with a guide who was not engaged or interesting. We received very little information about organizing our time at the Cape and Museum. Consequently, when we did find out about what was available to see at the museum, there was very little time left. The video program required you to be at the viewing room before it started or you were locked out which is what happened to us. The breakfast was mediocre. Otherwise, we were please with the other excursions and the guides who were excellent.

The food, especially the dinners, was a great disappointment. The tasteless fish dishes were a shame. Everything else was great, the restaurant manager and waiters were superb, helpful, and engaging. The on-ship talks were also very well done and worthwhile.

Another negative issue was contracting Covid 19 while on the cruise.

Cabin Review

The first night we were on the land side Polar Outside Cabin (floor 3) next to the loading/unloading area. The first night was like sleeping in the engine room when we entered and exited ports. Fortunately, we were able to change rooms to the quieter other side of the ship on floor 6(Arctic Superior Cabin). Some information about this would have been helpful. The change was expensive but allowed us to sleep comfortably.
