It was truly a terrible cruise. They should rename the Disney Dream to the Disney nightmare. From cold and half delivered food to terrible service (22 minute wait for a Diet Coke at dinner is not acceptable with no buffet alternative), the Disney details were extremely lacking. Castaway Cay was beautiful and the two shows were good but overall entertainment could be spruced up besides movies and trivia. The Guest Relations cast member did nothing to help and really failed to communicate with us and help with specific concerns we expressed. Our stateroom was cleaned nicely but the last two nights the cast member left dirty cups in the room. The room itself had a broken couch and shower which was disappointing quality issues considering how beautiful the rest of the ship was. If I had paid full price for it (1500$+ was the cheapest I saw per person). I would have been so incredibly pissed off. Even room service which was efficient and came quickly had tin foil in the food. So the things that were good they always found some way to ruin it. The best part of the cruise was finally finishing stranger things on the iPad that we downloaded before we got on…which had absolutely nothing to do with Disney. We had one great server- Mimi who was randomly assigned to us at breakfast but besides her and the nice people at the DVC cart all other cast member interactions were incredibly poor. I have never experienced as Poor Disney service as this since my trip to Disneyland Paris. Even many of the food dishes were inedible to the point were the wait staff told us not to order them. I was excited all day for this pasta dish only to be told by the waiter it was not good. Why keep something on the menu if that’s the case? I still ordered it to try and he was right it was disgusting. Then we had a desert all three of us tried that actually tasted like rat poison or what I imagine rat poison to taste like. I’m not a huge complainer person. I didn’t go yell at anyone or whatever about this but the fact remains that this was our consistent experience throughout 4 nights on the Dream. You could cite Covid as a reason but honestly if Disney is sailing under their logo they are responsible for the quality and service and if they fail to deliver they deserve to be called out and held accountable until they address the issues. They are an incredibly wealthy organization and for the prices they charge, especially on these cruises, the service and quality need to be better than the 250$ carnival cruise next door, which it was not. This is all to say not even touching the incredibly inappropriate conversation between 18-20 year olds supervised by a Cast Member in the coffee lounge about drugs, sex, and money. And the Up! charge inexperienced in the spa that was not explicitly said to me until after the cast member performed a treatment.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (undersized or obstructed verandah)

Broken and incredibly tight to get into because it’s sandwiched between an accessible room and maintenance area.
