I normally don’t do reviews on cruise critic, bu having read some recent reviews on the Spirit thought some balance was required.

Firstly history… we have sailed with several different lines but have now settle on Silversea, we have sailed with them since 2010, and cruises on most of the ships of the fleet, we normally stick to Veranda suites but on this cruise upgraded to a silver suite, since covid we have sailed on the Moon (inaugral cruise) in June 21, and the Spirit Jan 22 and May 22, due on the Dawn later this month and the Muse in December.

This cruise, firstly booking direct, I feel this is SS weakest point, there simply is not enough advisors, Maria is mentioned in previous reviews, that’s our rep, and she’s excellent, but her work load slows return calls/emails.. patience is a virtue. Boarding was very efficient (Athens) , we had our Covid test done at our hotel, and with hard copies of the results together with our passports and covid vaccine certs, we were boarded within 20 minutes, cabins aren’t normally ready until Four (additional sanitation for covid) but at 3.30 announcement made that all cabins ready, This was our sixth cruise on the Spirit (fav ship) and found everything as Fantastic as usual, the food, drinks, ports visited, and excursions were truely top notch, but the biggest thing is certainly the crew and service, simply outstanding, after the first meeting they will remember your name, what you drink etc, one name above all is Marlon our butler, what a great guy, I can give a dozen examples where he predicted what we wanted even prior to us knowing we wanted it.. thank you Marlon.
