I traveled with my wife and child (6 year old). We had a cabin with an ocean view balcony. We had the 8pm traditional dining. We also had a 100 dollar on board credit.
Once we boarded the ship, we realized in the app, they had changed our dining to my time (which includes a wait time), we immediately responded to the main dining room and spoke with the crew member who stated for over 45 minutes after multiple phone calls that he understood why we were upset but that he couldn't do anything about it because they did not have a table for 3 people, they were all full, i told him they were all full because they bumped us from our existing reservation to please a different guest. After 1.5 hours (wasted time on day 1, with a 6 year old that was beyond hungry) he finally resolved the problem for us. However, almost 2 hours of the first day were wasted just arguing with the dining room about our reservation that we had booked months before.
Also on day 1, my son was wearing his crocs at the sport court just kicking a ball into the soccer net, one of the sports staff personnel came over and told him "you can not be here in crocs so leave" in those words. I told him that was a really rude way to speak to anyone but specifically a 6 year old. I told him that he needed to learn to speak to people because everyone here is trying to have an enjoyable time and that i understood the rules and would take him out of the sports court since he didn't have sneakers with him at the time but for him to tell a 6 year old to leave that rude was wrong. In case you were wondering when he said that to my son he just started crying and walked off the court, he then told me "daddy i didn't know that and didn't do it on purpose". I will say its ridiculous for an adult on a cruise ship to make a 6 year old cry because of wearing crocs while kicking a ball. He didn't know and it was the first time he was told.
