I admit Virgin Cruises has spoiled us. But due to being a new cruise line and limited destinations, we booked the Viking Saga cruise on the new Rotterdam ship.

Pros: the pros are there are very few children on this ship, which makes for a better experience for me at least. The entertainment was classy and catered more to a cultured crowd. The blues band was excellent and the classical musicians played very well. The ship has wonderful decor. The gym offered a variety of equipment and even when crowded you didn’t have to wait too long for the equipment you wanted to use. Being a foodie, the food was a 7/10. The balcony cabin we stayed in was spacious and comfortable.

Cons: A lot of older folks on board that move slowly and can be difficult to navigate around. Lido deck food was hit or miss. Dining room stops serving breakfast at 9am.

Cabin Review

Recommend getting a balcony room, we enjoyed it very much!
