My husband and I have sailed on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. We felt it was time to experience the Celebrity difference.
We chose this itinerary because we fell in love with Bermuda when we sailed on the Norwegian Gem from Boston pre-pandemic. We flew from Toronto to Newark and stayed three nights in Manhattan prior to this cruise. We did our proctored rapid tests in the hotel room and used Azova. It was a very easy process.
Getting to Cape Liberty was quite an ordeal from Manhattan, but we managed. We had hard copies of all our required documentation and checking in was quick and easy. So quick, in fact, that we had to sit for quite about an hour before we were allowed to embark on the Summit.
Our stateroom suited us just fine. The bathroom, with glass doors on the shower, seemed larger than others we've experienced. There was ample storage space and I liked the color scheme. Although small, the balcony was a lovely place to sit quietly. The door to the balcony, though, is extremely difficult to open from the outside.
