We chose this 14 night cruise because it departed and arrived in our home city of Malaga. We knew the ship as we had already cruised on her for five days in November. This time we opted for an inside cabin instead of a balcony and found it to be more spacious. The wardrobe isn't huge but we asked for more hangers and the wire ones created a lot more space than the big wooden ones supplied. The kettle with tea and coffee supplied was a bonus, something we didn't have in November. Our cabin was situated fairly close to a door that led to the central lifts which we found very convenient. We were concerned about cruising in the school holidays as we don't have children, but found that the children on board appeared to be well catered for with kids clubs and play areas. The Sky Lounge on deck 18 was for adults only which was perfect for us. We also found the Horizon deck at the rear of the ship seemed to be mostly adults as the children preferred the main pool. I requested gluten free bread during my first dinner on board and thereafter was given a complete gluten free menu, the food was freshly cooked to order and was delicious, so much so that my non-gluten free husband often requested one of my choices. The staff were all excellent, so friendly, polite and helpful. Our restaurant staff Simone, Mahendra and Azis were always keen to assist with our menu requests, and quickly remembered our wine preferences. Our cabin attendant Josito was quick and efficient, always cleaning our cabin as soon as we vacated in the morning and evening, leaving everything clean, tidy and well stocked. I would also like to mention three of the bar staff, Ruth, Leison and Narvada who were so lovely, they remembered our names and our drink preferences, they quickly served us and were all polite and fun. The ship is lovely and there was more than enough to do, with party nights for those that like to party and quieter venues for those that don't. I have seen some poor reviews on here which I think is undeserved. This cruise was a fantastic price, and great value for money. Read the daily programme, explore the ship, you will soon find your own favourite spot. The crew work amazingly hard, be kind.
