We chose the Pearl because we live south of Boston & thought it would be great not to have to fly!

The Pearl is a very nice ship, but having some elevators not go to some decks was hard to maneuver, especially with someone in a wheelchair & another with COPD.

Embarking was a nightmare. We had a 10am check in. We were escorted to a hallway with seating & never boarded until 11:45! But to be fair, the Boston Cruise-port is old & honestly not equipped to handle so many people. But what is the purpose of giving a check in time, when you just let everyone in without checking their times.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

We had a balcony stateroom on Deck 9 midship. The cabin was nice & the bathroom was a good size. I like that they had the shower/vanity area separate from the toilet.

The only thing was there were 3 drawers for our clothes. The closet was a good size, but we kept having to move my husbands shirts in order to get in & out of the safe
