WE so desperately wanted to cruise, and Oceania made an offer for this cruise that was too good to pass up. Embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze, except for the fact that my car had a window smashed, been burgled and I had to drive 1100 miles with a "crash wrap! The food on the ship was excellent, and I prefer the main dining room to the blah specialty restaurants. The Concierge class cabin was immaculate and newly redecorated; it is however, incredibly small...The light switch for the bathroom is outside the bathroom!. The tours were OK, but the entertainment was abysmal, and below Oceania's usual low standards. The dance band couldn't play rock and roll, and the quality of the shows left much to be desired. While the entertainers were competent, I would like to address the show called 'Debonaire'; the music was dated. irrelevant and often obscure. I'm 77, and we did not listen to the 'rat pack's' music.
Service in the amin ding room was excellent, and the ship was at about 85% capacity.
incredibly crowded; there were 11,000 tourists in the village!
In the 'secure' paid cruise parking at 9 Wall St. Window smashed and car burgled.
