Carnival Mardi Gras July 16- 23, 2022

We compare this cruise to many others on Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and MSC. While we enjoyed the week overall, there were positives and negatives. We stayed in a spa cove balcony room 5203 which is right at the spa door. Sounds like a great location right?

Negatives-

Cabin Review

Some fifth floor cove balconies will have the balcony covered with a metal gate that blocks access and views during the beginning of the sailing and at the end. I recommend choosing balcony cabins on high levels of the ship to avoid this area.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

The pretty blue water has become very rocky and dangerous. The chairs are supposed to be free but vendors are scamming people for $35-$50 dollars per chair and umbrella. I saw weed sales going on and smelled weed. Vendors selling braids and strong bad drinks are all over. The internet does not work on that beach. It is a scam also. What happened to this port? We nicknamed it Scam Beach!
