We chose the Royal Caribbean cruise starting back in beginning of 2020. Due to covid it was canceled numerous times and we were told that we wouldn't lose our money. finally, we were told the ship was again sailing and we were told to use our cruise credit by booking before the end of April 2022 or we would lose the money we spent for it back in 2020 for 7 people. ($10000+). We had to book it and use it before the end of this year 2022. my wife talked to them after many hours of waiting on the phone, and they told her that the ship would only be about 50% capacity and therefore my wife booked it for July 8th. We got on the ship on July 8th, and it was announced that they were 100% full!

it was wall to wall people. (Imagine about 8000 people or more) Some people got sick during the cruise, and you could hear them hacking and sneezing across the dining room. We tried to get into the pools, but they were standing room only. We wore our masks in public and followed proper protocol to prevent getting sick and looking out for others.

the ship was comfortable and smooth compared to other 20 cruises that we had been on, and the staff was excellent, especially the dining room staff. Prior to arriving we had requested to have the early dining sitting at 530 pm for 7 people and when the first night we arrived at the assigned table, we were surprised it only allowed 6. we went back out and talked to the head waiter and he said he would work on another table for us. they found a table which seated 8 and put us there but said that Saturday we would be notified of a different table arrangement. on Saturday dinner we arrived and the said to wait shortly and they gave us another table for 6 and squeezed the 7 in, there were no other tables available.

Cabin Review

cabin was nice but made it hard to get around with the double bed always in the way. when the sofa bed was open, we had to squeeze thru to get to the balcony. the noise for the inside balcony entertainment made it hard to sleep at night until after the curfew hour.
