Incredible river cruise on the Danube provided by the magnificent AmaMagna! Talking with fellow cruisers one day up on the observation deck, we all remarked how it would be difficult to better the river cruise offered by Ama. Everything was first class: service, food, tours, staterooms, transfers, etc. The post-cruise time in Prague was equally as impressive. The tour director, Nikola, was second to none. Highly recommend. The cruiser demographic skewed much younger than I was led to believe with the average age around 50. Even some families with teens. As an active senior, I really enjoyed the bike tours in Vienna and Krems. They also offered “hikes” as a more strenuous (slightly) option rather than the slower walking tour. Plus a plethora of wellness activities on board. I can’t wait for our next cruise with Ama!
Maybe the only suggestion for improvement is better entertainment on board after dinner. Kind of hit or miss, from an outstanding trio of string musicians to a very weak solo singer. Still a small nit to pick considering how well everything else was executed.

Our stateroom was #208. On the main floor about four rooms in from the reception area. Excellent room in a good location. We were surprised how much storage room there was, even for your suitcases! It felt more like a nice hotel room than a ship’s stateroom. The separate WC was much appreciated as was the double vanity. Water pressure was excellent and the shower was roomy. Plenty of room to walk about the cabin.
Short stay in Bratislava but enjoyed the city tour very much. Informative guide that had a quick but steady pace. Beautiful city.
Best tour of the entire trip. The guide was excellent and there were just the four of us. Cruise tip: choose the “hiking tour” as there are much fewer people and you can ask the guide many more questions.
Incredible historic city. Took the bike tour which was outstanding. The only problem was the group was too large (24!) and we had too many longish stops to get everyone through the traffic lights.
Another bike ride. I ride a lot and, by far, this was the best bike ride I have ever had. The scenery was otherworldly and the bike route cut through vineyards, apricot fields and little villages. About 25 miles. A bit tiring due to our guide setting a fast pace. A smaller group of ten of us made for an enjoyable experience.
