This cruise was excellent in every respect, and the covid precautions helped keep everyone safe. The staff on board were very friendly and helpful, and the tour guides were all outstanding. Viking had their ducks in a row in every situation. The staff greeted us at the airport and scooped up our luggage, which magically appeared in our rooms later. The meals were all delicious and varied, and the dining staff were so much fun. The excursions were well thought out and went very smoothly, and the tour guides were all local and shared their knowledge and love of the areas where they lived. And when it came time to depart, I was impressed that Viking staff went ahead of us to the airport when we were departing to help those who needed it get checked in and find their way to security. It was an effortless trip on my part - Viking took care of everything!

I was surprised that the boat ride was so smooth and quiet. I was never aware of our leaving a port unless I was looking out the window, and the nighttime cruising was silent and never once woke me up. It was wonderful to look outside in the morning and be in a new city or country without having to pack and unpack. The rooms were small but comfortable and well thought out.

One of my favorite parts of the cruise was sailing into illuminated Budapest at night - breathtaking! Every port had its charm and interesting features, and I'd be happy to revisit any of them! I hope to take another Viking cruise in the future. Read more
