My mom, aunt, and I recently returned from a trip aboard the Rotterdam along the coast and fjords of Norway, including stops in Eidfjord, Skoldjen, Andalsnes, Trondheim, Hammerfest, Honningsvag, Alesund, and Maloy. Overall the trip was pleasant. The Rotterdam is a nice, new ship and the scenery and stops were beautiful. Below are quick ratings, with detailed explanations following.

Cabin Review

I had interior cabin 6206 near the back of the ship, my mom and aunt had an aft balcony cabin nearby. The cabins on Rotterdam are smaller than on other ships (width mostly); perfectly fine for one person but it was difficult for two people to get around each other. The aft balcony was a good size and included 2 chairs, 2 footstools, and a little table. My cabin just had a bed; my moms had a little couch and coffee table.

The decor was minimalist but comfortable. They included a robe, umbrella, hair dryer, mini-fridge, safe, and plenty of outlets (both US, European, and USB). Storage was okay. I was by myself and I had several unused drawers, but it would be tight with two people, especially if both were heavy packers. The shower was nice, the bed was comfy, the TV was large with some good HAL apps. The sound proofing between the rooms was great, with the only noise I heard coming from the hallway. Being at the very back of the ship, I could feel the engine running and there was a lot of movement and creaking in rough seas.
