we had a great trip, enjoyed Italy, the Greek islands and turkey. got to spend three days in Rome before cruise, amazing sites the Vatican is a must in my opinion. we did the private before open to public tour with breakfast in the pine cone courtyard. Time well spent before the crowds! we used Rome Chauffeur from airport to Double Tree, to Port and back to airport, they were awesome, on time all three times. highly recommend this service, takes all the stress out of this travel and very reasonable. we did our covid test using the celebrity recommend test over internet. was easy and when checking in at port was just a glance at phone for the person to check us in.

Had great time at all of the ports, we lean towards private tours but did the celebrity tour in Sicily and Mykonos. Taormina in Sicily and beach in Mykonos, both were great. Wife we a little tense on bus ride in Sicily, it was a experience on the small streets for sure. The beach was nice, lunch included as well as chairs and umbrellas. with out a doubt the coldest water I have ever been in. once you got in and submerged it was ok but a lot of people wouldn't get in.

Santorini, we booked a 8 hour tour and that is too long. we went from one end of the island to the other and had seaside lunch of octopus, shrimp and beer. four hours would have gotten it done and six max. we did the usual in Istanbul, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome etc. this is my first and only stop complaint, from the ship (you are off very quickly) to the street is about 20 to 30 minutes. they have a long walk through a very nice complex and security is everywhere. I understand the need but the it was a deterrent the second day there so we stayed onboard to rest. Ephesus and virgin Mary's house are both worth seeing. he had lunch included there also and some great Turkish food and yes you guessed it beer!. Athens was great did the acropolis and all of the other things you expect. I will say this day was a lot easier than I thought it would be. the walk to the top of the acropolis was a lot easier than I expected. Naples was Pompeii and Amalfi coast, both worth seeing for sure.
