We had high hopes for this trip from Trier to Passau. It was our first river cruise and we would do another; not with Amadeus though.
The itinerary was interesting, excursions well organised, boat comfortable. Crew were excellent, food generally high quality although ultimately all a bit the same after a few days, but....
The overall feeling was that passengers had to be flexible to suit the management. The sun deck was closed for the majority of the entire (sunny) trip, apparently because of bridges but there were extensive times when it could have been open. If the boat arrived late (eg lock delays) everything fell apart and management could not provide useful updates.
Cabin Review
Clean and comfortable, well maintained by lovely crew. Reasonably spacious with a small walk in wardrobe and nice bathroom (shower cubicle much better than your average ocean ship). We were very happy with the cabin, which was more than adequate for the typical duration of a river cruise (a week, give or take).
