We chose this cruise only because friends we met on Uniworld had booked and we wanted to do a Douro River cruise. They had done a Scenic River cruise before and thought it was better than Uniworld. In our opinion, not the case at all, except perhaps the tour guides and evening entertainment. We never received final paperwork and fllow up by our TA had 0 responses.

The ship design and decor were sparse, dining service terrible and food sub par. No linens at dinner, just the same vinyl place mats as breakfast and lunch. Not even on welcome and gala dinners. No coffee service at lunch/dinner and not offered.

They advertise a gym, but more like a leftover linen closet that they crammed 3 cardio machines in and mismatched dumbbells with the heaviest being 6 lbs. No room to work out anyway, Read more
