Sail Date: Jul 2022

The Crown Princess has been having mechanical issues all of the Alaska sailing season. Time in port was greatly reduced or eliminated. Princess cruise line is fantastic but I would avoid this ship for the time being.

The only full day in port was at Skagway which was wonderful. I went to the Kroschel Wildlife Center and it was a fantastic experience. You were very close to all the animals and were even able to pet some of them. The other port stops were only about three hours each so there was not much to do except go buy a t-shirt.

The ship was not full which was great. No waiting for anything! Waitstaff in the dining venues were attentive and were able to make recommendations. The food was above par, especially the deserts! Room steward followed instructions and was always right there to make sure I was happy.

Cabin Review

Had an inside cabin on deck 5. It was great. Easy to get to everything except the buffet. Very little ship movement. Cabin was smallish but fine for me.
