My husband and I waited two years to go on this cruise due to the pandemic. We were ecstatic to finally be onboard and in our lovely balcony room. Even though we were both fully vaccinated and boosted we both caught Covid on the third day of our sailing. We spent the next eight days ejected from our balcony room into a dank medical ward room. We spent the remaining days looking through the dirty porthole at the beautiful destinations. We begged every day to be permitted to disembark and quarantine in a hotel but were denied. We were promised that the days spent in isolation would be credited so that we could have a do-over cruise. The guest services lady Rosa said "Royal Caribbean will take care of you. In about 30 days we will give you a future cruise credit for all of these days in isolation." We believed her.

She said that the future cruise and all monies spent on packages (dining and drink) would be refunded or credited.

We were lied to and told that all we could eat was disgusting room service food (not until days later they told us we could order the main dining room and then the night before we were released from jail, we were told that we could have ordered the specialty dining all along).

Cabin Review

The room we booked and paid for, a balcony, was lovely. The room they forced us to go to in the medical ward was a porthoole room that had beds that were uneven. The porthole was dirty. It was far from a pleasant experience we refer to is as "boat jail"
