NCL standards and quality including entertainment and activities have been slipping for some time but my experience on the final night brought things to a whole new level. We have been on 11 cruises with NCL and are classed as Platinum guests but my last experience has left me feeling like the scum of the earth. I queried a charge of $267 on the bill for Beauty Salon/Spa which we never used. The guest services staff including the manager insisted that my wife had used the facility and showed me a receipt signed by someone with a completely different name. I even showed them my wife's actual signature but they would not accept that and refused outright to cancel the charge. I spent over an hour on the final evening trying to resolve the situation but these people just did not want to know effectively calling me a liar and not believing a word I was saying. I have never been so humiliated, I was treated like a common criminal. Having paid £5000 for the cruise was I really going to con NCL out a paltry $267? I had to wait for them to review CCTV of the spa overnight. I just could not believe what was happening. Finally later the next day the charge was credited.
I have obviously contacted NCLs president regarding this shocking treatment and after 3 or 4 emails, to add insult to injury, I have been offered a pathetic £100 on board credit for a future cruise. My emails are know being ignored!
Totally unacceptable treatment both onboard and since. Unfortunately, after being loyal customers of NCL for many years this has completely changed my view of the company.
