We departed from Portland Oregon to see an area of the country we had never visited before and cruising was the perfect way to experience the region. Going east on the rivers we viewed contrasting landscapes and learned from our guest speaker David about relevant topics such as the Lewis and Clark expedition, topography of the land, and information on all the ports we visited. He is a fantastic speaker. Every evening we had entertainment by a variety of singers, instrumentalists, and even a local Indian tribe. All the entertainers helped to bring meaning to our trip and were a pleasure to listen to. We even had an art teacher on board who gave us the chance to spend time with other passengers and bring out our creative side. The art projects were all related to local birds, plants, and scenery we witnessed.

I highly recommend this trip to anyone with an interest in the Pacific Northwest. It is an adventure we will never forget.
