Wanted an easy getaway so 14 days out of Vancouver was a good choice. I had cruised Alaska before but never north of Skagway. WOW, that is the most beautiful part of the cruise. Loved every minute of it. The crew on the Majestic Princess were all pleasant, helpful and cheery. Think the attitude is passed down from the fun loving Captain Tuvo, affectionately known as Captain Bye Bye. The Covid protocols on board were excellent, the staff all wore N95 masks at all times, hand washing was encouraged before entering the buffet and hand sanitizers entering the dining rooms. All passengers were asked to please wear masks in the elevator and also in public areas, sadly many did not show respect to the other passengers and to the staff and adhere to this rule. It was a very selfish attitude on their part and also disrespectful. Please people, if you do cruise, make it better for everyone and please wear a mask. The staff deserve to be kept healthy as do the other passengers. Other than the mask issue, the Majestic checks out in all categories, clean, efficient, friendly, excellent food, and fabulous entertainment. The production shows were some of the best we had ever seen.
The cabin was all we needed, well appointed, clean, with a good balcony. Was all we needed. Our room steward, Russell, looked after us very well.
