We were on the June 25th sailing and have never sailed with HA before, although I've sailed with Princess, Carnival, Norwegian, and Celebrity. After this cruise, HA is now my favorite cruise line. We didn't know what to expect with Covid - whether corners would be cut with service levels, food quality etc, but instead everything was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and service was excellent, and the food was great. We're not big buffet people so only ate breakfasts at the Lido buffet but really enjoyed the made to order omelets, eggs benedict, and crepes. We had several lunches and dinners in the dining room and always had a great experience. For dinners, the gala nights were on Sunday (sea day) and Thursday (Ketchikan) so we made sure to eat in the main dining room those nights because they had upgraded menu items, including Surf & Turf (filet and shrimp) one night and Beef Tenderloin the other night. We thought all the food in the dining room was excellent but those nights it was exceptional. I highly recommend the chocolate souffle! We went to the Pinnacle Grill another night and my husband said that the filet ranked in the top 5 that he's ever had. We decided to try Tamarind another night and were very happy we did. We got more than just a wonderful meal there - it was a true experience and we felt well worth the upcharge. We also had burgers a couple times and pizza too and recommend both. The traditional pizzas were great and I absolutely loved the Wall Street with gorgonzola and prosciutto - it was off the charts - yum!!

We purchased the "Have it All" package and felt that was a tremendous value and it added a lot to our overall experience. With it we had fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast, specialty coffee and chai tea lattes in the Crow's Nest, and we used the opportunity to try a lot of fun drinks that we wouldn't typically order. We felt a best kept secret was the Tamarind Bar - it's not open a lot and has spectacular views. We spent the morning that we cruised through Stephens Passage there spotting whales and had the place pretty much to ourselves. Binoculars are a must!!

Entertainment: It's obvious they put an emphasis on music and it was exceptional. They had 2 piano bar players/singers who played each night and also played the piano as background prior to dinner on some evenings. They also have a string trio with a piano that held several concerts and in the BB King Lounge they had a six-piece band including horns that was amazing. All the musicians were extremely talented. We saw three main-stage shows and they were great too. They have a dance group of 6 individuals who are also very talented and they put on great shows.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Would highly recommend cabin 7016. It had a small sofa and we felt the location was great. They opened up the bow on the 7th floor in Glacier Bay which was super convenient. Quiet location with cabins above and below us and and easy access to everything.
