This ship was part of the package we booked. Overall it was great, food and drink service was pretty good. The excursions left a little to be desired - one of our three was amazing (the most expensive), the other two were a major disappointment and not worth the money at all. The dog-sledding and helicopter trip was fantastic, yes it was expensive but, to me, well worth the money. The other excursions we took were the small group whale-watching and some kind of bizarre boat trip with a crab feast. I have been whale watching before and that was infinitely superior to this debacle. The peculiar boat trip which preceeded the crab feast was odd in a class of its own. I have no idea what the whole trip was meant to be about but we spent half the time looking at a young lad with a crab on his head.

The laundry service on the ship was very quick but sadly several items of my clothing were shrunk. I cannot recommend it other than for essential and hardy items.

I encountered a problem with the transactions which kept appearing on my bank card at 05.00 am stating that Holland America had taken $200, $300 etc. with no idea what for. Nothing correlated with the Navigator app. I spent far too long at guest services trying to get help and never got anywhere. When I got home, everything deducted from that particular card was completely in order however I had another transaction for over £600 on a credit card for which I am still trying to obtain an explanation.
