We have always said that we love the crossings and love the QM2. Indeed we have crossed the Atlantic about 13 times on the QM2. But the serious issues with this crossing make us wonder if we are making a poor choice and whether we will ever return.

We did love the Chart Room and spent many hours there listening to delightful music and receiving excellent service. But hours spent in one bar do not make up for the many problems we had to deal with.

The embarkation in Hamburg was a disaster, supposedly because of a computer breakdown. It took us 2 1/2 hours to board, and we were priority; others waited almost 4 hours. There were few staff to direct the lines, so it was chaotic. No porters, so luggage was a burden. So many people jammed together waiting to be checked in made a Covid super-spreader event. Should we have called the public health authorities? And disabled PAX were struggling with nowhere to sit.

Cabin Review

Princess Suite

The Same Princess Grill stateroom that we have sailed in before. It's OK, but not luxurious. Expensive for what it is.
