I captioned my review in this way because management has screwed up in so many different ways and has proven so unresponsible that it has to be deliberate.

The Cunard website is hard to navigate. Even Cunard's telephone support people tell me that. There were times when you simply could not print out required papers, including luggage tags. This seems to be such a frequent problem that the instructions said "try again later". Required papers such as Canadian immigration forms, were buried so deeply in the website that many people had no idea of the requirement until they started to board.

Boarding took as long as 4 hours for some people, with crowds that made a super spreader event possible. All of this could have been avoided had they notified us of the paperwork we should have in hand when approached the first checkpoint. Instead, every single person was told, one by one of the four forms that you needed. I would have had mine ready had they bothered to tell us while I was in line. Instead I had to fish around on my cell phone while others were waiting behind me. It was a hot day in New York on July 1st. At least one woman fainted.

Cabin Review

Balcony, sheltered

I signed up for an obstructed balcony. I got an enclosed balcony. That is to say, I got an obstructed ocean view room for the price of a balcony. The ocean view is obstructed by the balcony. It is an unpleasant place to to be. It offers no view unless standing at the railing. I complained about it immediately, but two days later, I have not received the courtesy of a response of any kind, let alone resolution. Management in charge seems determined to make me a Royal Caribbean or Celebrity customer.
