Like many others we had a FCC to use to make up for the loss of our cruise in 2020. We choose this cruise as it was a round trip from Southampton for 10 nights. Normally we travel in July/August but other commitments meant we took this trip which had an interesting itinerary, some ports we had previously visited, others were new.

We could not fault the cleanliness of the ship, our stateroom - 4050 Ocean View - was always immaculate as were the public areas with plenty of sanitiser everywhere.

However, we heard that Sirena had only been back in service since April 2022 and this showed up with some of the wait staff both in the bars and restaurants. The crew all wore masks and at times it was difficult to understand what some of them were saying particularly in a lot of cases English was not their first language. Service on occasion in the Grand Dining room was slow, the first night dinner took over 2 hours to serve and that was on a table of 4. Service did improve over time.

Deluxe Ocean View

Stateroom close to reception. It was always spotless, we could not fault the steward's work in keeping it clean. Very quiet, there were several mornings when we woke up to realise that we had actually docked! We have been further forward on deck 4 on similar ships and have heard the bow thrusters as the ship manoeuvres into ports.

Whilst small there is plenty of storage space. The bathrooms are on the small side but that is our choice when booking this type of stateroom!

Lovely city, easy to explore on foot. Interesting market.

Berthed right in city centre so could walk off the ship and explore.
