This was my first cruise as part of a large extended family group, some of whom had made this cruise before. A month ago, Princess notified us the stop at Ketchikan was cancelled and our first stop would be Juneau. Turns out that the ship had "scheduled maintenance" and one of its diesel engines would not be running which limited ship speed. We got to Juneau too late to do most of the scheduled excursions including whale watching which was the primary reason for my wife and I to take the cruise. Extremely disappointing.

Skagway and Glacier Bay were fantastic. The highlights of the trip and we had perfect weather. Seeing Glacier Bay was like seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, just breathtaking.

Our last stop was Victoria and again, we got there so late we did the Butchart Garden tour partially in the dark. We had trouble finding our way out of the 50 acre garden to get back to the bus in time. Another disappointment.

Cabin Review

Great bed, very comfortable. The TV angles were weird and you could not sit in bed and look straight at the TV.
