Sail Date: May 2022

We wanted to treat ourselves for our 50th Wedding Anniversary so we booked this cruise for 2021. We also wanted to see the lands of some of our ancestors and we were not disappointed. Since we did not want an FCC, we decided to rebook the cruise before it was cancelled by Viking.Due to a decrease in the airline prices from our original booking, we were able to use this money to add a pre-extension in Iceland which was a big bonus.

While the weather was a little cooler and rainier than we expected, the entire experience was amazing - the ship, the common areas, the STAFF, the FOOD in each restaurant couldn't have been more perfect. Of the 930 possible cruisers, there was less than 600 which made it very easy to go to all the restaurants especially the specialty restaurants. The Chef's table was amazing with the food and wine pairings. We went to all the food venues - in room dining, Mamsens, afternoon tea, pool bar, etc.

We purchased the Silver Spirits beverage package which was totally worth it for us since we enjoy cocktails in the evening..

Cabin Review

This cabin was very roomy with a lot of storage for a 14 day voyage. Great placement on ship center and a larger balcony which we didn't use a whole lot because of the weather.

The decor is clean and modern.
