We selected this cruise because we had never been on a European river cruise and because this cruise terminated in Paris. The daily excursions were excellent with knowledgeable, friendly guides. We were surprised at the beauty of Germany, both the villages and the landscape. The French balcony provided amazing views from our cabin.
We had been on a beautiful Viking ocean cruise previously and the Viking Idi was not a disappointment.
The Idi staff were organized, friendly, and helpful. We were impressed that the staff of the dining room became friends and made the effort to remember specifics of our daily order. Also, they seemed to like their work.
Cabin Review
French Balcony
Although the cabin was much smaller than on the ocean ships, there was adequate space for suitcases and closet space. The room stayed uncluttered and provided more than enough space for the two of us. We were surprised and very comfortable.
