Never been to Panama Canal. This one looked good. However, ship was supposed to get underway at 5PM, but did not get underway 'till 9PM. Made for a shortened time at the first port of call. One of the ports was cancelled. Not enough free time at many of the excursions for shopping. Ship had to do a detour to get a guest medical help and that put us way behind the next port of call and only had a couple hours to take it all in. Too much sea time when we could be visiting listed ports of call as described in the brochure. Very hard to make reservations at the special restaurants, and when they did, the guest count for the table was incorrect. Poor service at one of the restaurants too. Complementary wine selection for lunch and dinner was sub par. Saw the wines at the local discount stores. (cheap). There is much room for improvement in all aspects of this cruise including keeping a schedule, providing knowledgable service by the service personnel, and necessary arrangements for efficient embarkation.
