We wanted to see South America for the first time. Viking was very responsive regarding how we needed to meet the Chilean and Argentina requirements for entry into their countries, and meet their Covid requirements. Viking established a travel insurance relationship with TripAssure that was inexpensive and comprehensive. Because of Covid, the Viking staff went over and above to make sure its passengers were treated extremely well and courteously. The staff knew each passenger by name by the 2nd or 3rd day of the cruise. Overall, Viking’s service and guest speakers were top notch and willing to address any questions.

The Viking Jupiter is a beautiful ship. It’s 900 passenger capacity makes it easy to get around the ship to various venues. We enjoyed all three restaurant venues (The Restaurant, Manfredi’s and the Chef’s Table. The spa is beautiful and introduces Nordic touches in many of its spaces. We really loved the head bartender in Torshavn. He provided 5-6 tastings throughout the cruise on different liquors. The small band that played there in the evening were very good and played several requests. Guest speakers were knowledgeable and informative within their areas of expertise such as History or Outer Space.

Cabin Review

Viking upgraded us to a higher level without any extra charge. Our two cabin attendants were courteous, engaging and very good at their jobs.
