Sail Date: May 2022

Our first big trip since covid. (We were doing a cruise supposedly from Singapore to Hong Kong in February 2020. I say supposedly because Hong Kong closed down its port the day we got on the ship, our stops in Vietnam closed their ports as we were sailing). We started touring Portugal on our own, and then met up with Viking in Lisbon. My husband got food poisoning our 2nd night with Viking (right before leaving Lisbon...we'd eaten on our own the night before) and our tour guide made sure we got medical help, helped us know which train to take to catch up with them in Porto, and arranged for a taxi to pick us up and take us to the ship. He was very attentive to seeing how my husband was doing as he recuperated. The beauty of the Douro Valley exceeded my expectations. We had wonderful daily excursions. The people are so friendly and the area just has a real special beauty. I also really appreciated the daily covid tests to make sure no one was passing the virus around. Very happy with everything.

Cabin Review

This is a small ship because of going through so many locks. So...our room was kind of small. But it had everything you needed and was very comfortable.
