We have been to the Algarve on numerous occasions and simply love the country and its people, but we had never been further north. Lisbon is a wonderful city and we were lucky to see it in the sunshine, eating out in the evening and enjoying all it has to offer, led by a wonderful guide. The river cruise itself was well organised and the staff both on and off the ship were excellent.

The Captain and all the crew and the character onboard was the chef who created wonderful meals many of which were of a Portuguese flavour.

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet other people and we made friends with a number of Americans and enjoyed their company immensely. Read more
