We chose the Mediterranean Odyssey for its itinerary sampling 6 countries. Everything on the ship was outstanding: friendly, helpful and efficient crew, the food was excellent with enough variety, wines were very good, the Norwegian spa rejuvenated us, and we enjoyed the entertainment. Our only negative was that some of the excursions were subpar. We had more than 30 persons in our optional tour in crowded Rome that cost $200 per person, so our guide spent much of her time making sure we were all together. In Venice our guide was rude & blamed our group when she was running behind schedule. Perhaps we were late due to the complicated transfer from ship, to bus, to water taxi to get to St Mark’s Square. Be prepared with Euro coins for access to restrooms. Most of our guides thought needing a restroom was some sort of unplanned emergency instead of a normal bodily function. We did enjoy some of the other optional tours to see The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the coastal area south of Dubrovnik and Kyrka Falls near Split, Croatia. Free time on excursions is enough for souvenir shopping or getting a beverage, but not enough to purchase tickets to see another cathedral or museum.
Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The cabin attendants were wonderful!
