My husband had booked 2 Viking Ocean cruises back in 2019. We had never cruised before, but after doing some research he decided to try a Viking cruise… well really two. I asked him what if we don’t like it…. his answer was that we have a second chance to see if we like it. We did take our first cruise in January of 2020. The second one was supposed to be February of 2021. We ended up taking it in December of 2021.

Our cruise with Viking in December of 2021 to the West Indies was a cruise that I really want to do again! It is a wonderful itinerary! The islands are so beautiful! We mainly did catamaran excursions and any others that allowed the greatest social distancing. An included excursion to Tortola included some time at a beach after the drive around the island in an open air vehicle. It was very nice!

Viking ocean ships are all virtually the same. It is the perfect size ship for us. We found the main pool and the infinity pool very enjoyable! The spa area with the therapy pool and hot tub was available to everyone. My husband especially liked the snow grotto in the spa.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

This is our preferred cabin category. As it is easier for me to watch TV in bed in this size cabin. We only book a higher cabin category if we want the ability to book excursions sooner.
