I chose this cruise because it was more aligned with my travel availability and I won't do a "party boat".

I've divided my critique into several categories based upon my experiences in other cruise lines as a comparison...

Boarding: We boarded in Seattle on a Monday...and yes, we had to make sure all our shot records were in the system and that we had tested negative for COVID within the past 48 hours. We had our COVID test done at a local drug store on the Saturday before Monday launch...it was easy and we had our results within an hour. The port of Seattle is busy... but, we found that the lines were very efficient and were processed on board pretty quickly. Don't expect much communication from the "locals" as they don't have a clue; however, the Royal Caribbean personnel were very helpful and in tune with the process. I give boarding an A.

Icy Strait

Incredible fun. DO THE ZIP LINE!!!! Adrenaline-filled ride. Extremely intense 1300' drop.

Juneau

If you're gonna spend the money for a cruise... you MUST spend the money for a helicopter ride above Mendenhall Glacier. It is nearly an appointment with God... spectacular, awesome, pure, and moving.

Skagway

DO the railway ride... it is educational and the views are incredible.
