Sail Date: May 2022
The upper sun deck and 2 levels of staterooms with balconies give the best view of the water and countryside.
Herb garden on the sun deck.
Gorgeous pastoral countryside views.

This was our first experience on a river boat cruise and Viking was rated so highly in all the reviews we read. We travelled at the end of May and the the weather was a very comfortable 50's at night to 70's during the day. Plenty of sunshine, minimal rain from Budapest to Nuremberg. The whole experience was excellent in every way from stepping onto a beautiful ship that felt light and bright, to our first lunch on the outdoor deck , a lovely room with outdoor balcony, and the outstanding food and complimentary wines. Daily schedules were communicated well and the Program Director was amazing. One of the biggest draws for us to this type of cruise was all the excursions off the boat. Our local guides for each excursion were top notch. We came away feeling like what we saw of the countries we passed through and learned of their histories and cultures would draw us back to visit again. We absolutely love our Viking experience and are eager to plan for the next!

Cabin Review

Our veranda stateroom was lovely, clean, modern, efficient, with sliding glass doors to the outdoor balcony. Loved it.

Port Reviews

This was our first experience in eastern/middle Europe. Budapest has so much history and culture . Our guides were excellent and we left wanting to see more!
