My husband’s grandmother was Swedish and I wanted him to see how beautiful Stockholm is. The added ports of Bornholm and Mariehamn were a nice addition as I would not have picked those as places to go. We started in Bergen and ended in Stockholm. As we hit each successive port there was more and more sunshine. We almost exclusively did the included tours and I thought they were great! The one tour that we paid for was in Oslo to the group of 3 museums; Kon-tiki, Maritime and The Fram. My husband has a big interest in arctic explorers so the Fram was a good choice. The food on the ship was really good and we took advantage of the special restaurants by dining at Manfredi’s and The Chefs Table three times each during our trip. We really enjoyed having the Silver Spirits package. The cruise was delightful in every aspect except one. There was a small issue with the cabin.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was over the first of three lifeboats and they chose our sailing to fix the lifeboat underneath our cabin. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be the first person to say I want all the lifeboats to work. But you know when you are jet lagged and all you want to do is take an afternoon nap? This went on for at least 4 days. Viking tried to help by giving me access to another empty cabin which I did use the first day. We were next door to our friends or I would have tried to move. Every other single aspect of the cruise was delightful!
