Cabin bath. Nice size shower. Great lighting.
"The Restaurant" A lot of 2-top seating which we enjoyed since we traveled as a couple.
Main pool. Also outdoor infinity pool and two large hot tubs.

We chose this cruise 4 years ago in 2018. It was postponed twice due to the pandemic. We finally sailed in 2022 but due to the war, St. Petersburg Russia and Tallinn Estonia were removed from the itinerary. Viking did a spectacular job shuffling ports to make a fantastic trip. We spent 2 nights in Oslo, Norway's capital in addition to some other new ports. All were done well. Kudos to Viking for making this trip a terrific Scandinavian experience. The entire crew made customer service their #1 priority. We selected the Silver Spirits beverage package and enjoyed it every day. Our veranda cabin was very well designed, beautiful, and very comfortable. Viking provides a free excursion daily while in port. Often this is a city bus tour or old town walking tour. Bravo! We enjoyed the onboard entertainment which included special guests such as a piano virtuoso and a magician. The specialty restaurants are truly special and no additional charge! We also used Viking Air which went flawlessly. There are many air disruptions these days but Viking made our experience very pleasant. We didn't get a chance to visit the shops on board or use the pools or fitness facilities. We were really on board for the ports - which Viking does very well. This is our second Viking cruise; first being the Danube River. We look forward to more Viking ocean and river cruises.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Very well designed functionally and really beautiful Scandinavian décor. Terrific veranda with table & 2 chairs. Spacious bath. Beds pushed together but made up so we never fell in the crack. Very comfortable mattress & pillows. Love seat, coffee table, desk, and chair. Full length mirror. Nice storage space including room for suitcases under bed. Light in closet. Nice number of drawers. Coffee maker. Wall-mounted big screen flat panel TV with great picture & sound. Phone in room. Well-fitting cabin door and sound-insulated walls. Great lighting throughout including bed-reading lamps.

Port Reviews

Capital of Sweden, resting on 14 islands, with about 1 million people. A city with incredible architecture. Gamla Stan (old town) is walkable, historic, and beautiful. We also love Espresso House coffee shops!

Great souvenir shopping in Bryggen - the iconic multi-color leaning buildings of old town. Dress for showers - it rains here over 300 days of the year.

This was the most beautiful port of our 14-day cruise due to the incredible water way and towering cliffs including Pulpit Rock. Great photo ops.
