Viking is attempting to earn a reputation at sea that matches the excellent one it has on rivers. It's well on its way, but has some distance to go before it can be favorably compared to Crystal (when Crystal was at its peak).

The most glaring shortfall, and possibly the only substantial one, is the evening entertainment which would be the equivalent of community theater as compared to Crystal's Broadway productions.

Let's hope that covid is to blame, although that excuse is getting quite tiresome as businesses generally have worn it out when explaining corner-cutting and shoddy service. Read more
