We wanted to try a river cruise (my wife gets seasick) and anyone who we spoke to who had taken a Viking cruise had good things to say about them. This particular cruise was in an area we wanted to visit and fit into the schedule of two other couples who accompanied us. The cruise, its personnel, the food, the accommodations were first-rate.

The tours, both the free included ones and the additional cost ones did not disappoint. Our only problem might have been overscheduling ourselves a bit much, trying to see as much as possible. We would have spent a bit more time relaxing on the boat.

The tour guides were usually knowledgeable and I have to commend the bus drivers on getting through some of those towns.

Veranda Stateroom

For its size, it had everything we needed, all planned out very well to utilize the available space
