Celebrated a birthday with a special cake & a musical serenade. Great fun!

This was our first cruise experience. We added both the pre and post ground extensions and enjoyed them both. Viking reps meet you at the airport upon arrival (even when you're 90 minutes late) and handle everything, cars, bags, itinerary, recommendations and rooms. The same happens when you leave. Complete feeling of confidence to travel in countries you don't know and where you don't speak the language.

Then comes the boat; highly recommend selecting the Veranda Statement, well worth the extra cost. While not spacious, we found we had plenty of room. Big shout out to Nico for keeping us so tidy. A pleasant surprise was how friendly the all staff were. We never passed a crew member without a smile and welcoming comment from them. Really, all of them.

By the second day, our restaurant staff knew our preferences and the service from all was outstanding. Loved the variety of menu choices too. Kyle and Raisa took care of us every day, along with Georgi and Andreja, and all of them made mealtime a social experience as well. Think they are all outstanding. Enjoyed chatting with Chef Marius each evening.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

Veranda Stateroom was kept immaculate, thanks to Nico. Plenty of room to store our clothing and shoes. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows too.

Port Reviews

Amsterdam

Due to United Airlines, we missed our first day and the City Tour. The Movenpick Hotel was very nice and our room had a fantastic view of the IJ. The Golden Age of Amsterdam tour was very disappointing, due to the character of the "guest guide" we had. Rachel spent much a our tour speaking of the differences between her native Israel and Amsterdam, which we found annoying. Certainly wasn't a positive experience.
