My husband and I chose the Viking Venus cruise itinerary because we wanted to go to the Orkney Islands. The trip did not disappoint! We loved the excursions, locations, ship, staff, and food. FABULOUS!

Having an outside veranda in the stateroom is worth the additional cost. Although we were sailing on the North Sea, the temperature was warm enough to allow a cup of coffee outside on the veranda. Additionally, the heated bathroom floor was a real treat.

High tea was offered daily and should not be missed. With windows everywhere it was easy to feel like we were outside but had the comfort of a controlled weather environment.
