Cruise itself was wonderful - 5 stars! The people were great, the food was great, the shore excursions were great! Normandy was the highlight of this cruise! All the local guides were fluent in English. It is a clever idea to have headsets synched into guide's microphone, so you didn't need to be very close enough to hear. All GREAT until you get kicked off due to a positive Covid test. No symptoms. Everyone on ship was vaxxed. Spouse had to leave too. People were being taken off the ship almost every day. Viking paid for quarantine costs of hotel and room service (fortunately), but we won't consider any more Viking cruises until daily testing stops. (Viking may already have stopped doing that by now, mid-June. Our cruise was early April. I think they were surprised by how many people were popping positive. No other cruise lines testing daily at that time as I recall). Looking forward to using our Future Cruise Credits after Covid testing stops. Viking is really a great cruise line and would have given 5 stars except for our debacle.
