We were anxiously awaiting this cruise which we had postponed from 2020 to 2021 to 2022 due to Covid. We have watched the Viking videos of one of the most scenic itineraries; Budapest - Amsterdam. If anything, the videos undersold the beauty of the cities along the way and the stunning views along the river. The crew were incredible. Everyone seemed to make it their personal mission to ensure the guests had a great time. We have enjoyed previous cruised with Viking (river and ocean) as well as other lines. I can honestly say this was the most enjoyable cruise.

We took most of the included excursions and 5 of the optional ones including an evening concert in Vienna that we will remember forever. All of the excursions were very well run and, unlike some other cruise lines, a very good value.

I would strongly recommend a few extra days in the starting and ending cities to get the most out of the experience.
